Financial Aid Program

Habib Education Trust’s Financial Assistance Program provides deserving scholars a chance to study at college and university level in some of Pakistan’s most recognised higher education institutions. This programme is specially focused on students who have a fantastic academic record, excellent all-round abilities, and an aptitude for higher learning. It offers financial assistance on a grant-cum-loan basis and the amount of aid provided is dependant on a detailed financial assessment of the student, their academic and extracurricular record, their subject of study, and the amount of aid that is available for funding in a given year.

HET’s Financial Assistance Program is always on a cost sharing basis with the student.

What Does the Assistance Cover?

The Financial Assistance program covers admission, tuition, and examination fees. Textbook and project material funding depend on students’ needs. The FAP does not normally meet private tuition expenses, nor does it provide boarding expenses in private lodgings or in the institution’s hostel.

Eligibility:

• For an undergraduate college level loan, students who have completed Matriculation or O Levels may apply.
• For a post-graduate or professional education loan, students who have done pre-professional or graduate programs and secured excellent marks in their board or university application may apply.
• Applicants must have attained an admission into a recognised college or university.

How to Apply:

To avail the fee subsidy, students and guarantors must fill out the form available in the download section and attach all documents mentioned therein. The Habib Education Trust ensures the confidentiality of all applicants to the FAP, and neither the school nor any staff members will ever be informed of a students’ financial aid status. Parents and students are highly encouraged to apply to the FAP for all their financial assistance needs.

On Securing the Grant/Loan:

• Keep the Trust constantly apprised of your academic progress and inform the Trust about any changes in contact information, including phone numbers, emails, addresses, etc.
• Maintain a high level of academic achievement and moral values throughout the academic term, otherwise you risk the withdrawal of your grant/loan

*Funding may be withdrawn at any notice of unsatisfactory performance or improper behaviour in the college/university.

Loan Disbursement:

The education grant/loan will be disbursed either directly to the institution or paid by cheque into the bank account of the applicant or their parent/guardian. No cash payments will be made, thus it is essential that applicants have a bank account in their name. Funding will be disbursed on a semester/biannual or annual basis as per the institute’s requirement and our financial means. Renewal of funding is dependant on continuous good performance.

Loan Repayment:

Loan repayment is to begin within a year of completing your education and a full repayment must be made within 36 months of the completion of study. In case the student gives up study without completing their degree, the loan will become payable immediately and/or adjusted against collateral given.

Guarantors:​

Parents/guardians/guarantors of the student will undertake to make good the payment in case the student fails to do so within the given timeframe. They will agree to sign the legal documents in the office of the Trust in the presence of the designated official. The committee may, at its sole discretion, call for a collateral to be provided in addition to the guarantee
