Our Approach

At Habib Girls’ School, one of the best schools for holistic development, we firmly believe in the importance of sports and physical education as essential components of a well-rounded education. Engaging in team sports equips our students with vital 21st century skills like leadership, teamwork, resilience, and problem-solving, which are invaluable both in school and beyond. Physical education fosters pro-social abilities that contribute to personal and social development. Sports Offered at HGS

We place great value on physical activity and provide our students with an array of sports to participate in.

Volleyball

HGS has a wonderful track record in Volleyball with the team remaining unbeaten champions for more than 10 years. A popular sport in the school, the players go through strenuous trials to make it to the school team.

Throwball

Throw ball has been one of the main games to be played in school. Since 2000, the team has been winning various Inter school tournaments, with players from HGS being selected for the Provincial and National teams. The school has teams at 3 levels for Throw ball: Under 11, Under 16 and Under 19.

Netball

The school is represented by the Under 16 and Under 19 for Netball. Since the 90s, the school team has won laurels and since the inception of the High school, both teams have been in the forefront, winning medals.

Table Tennis

Table tennis is a popular international sport which garners a lot of interest among both male and female players. At HGS, students are encouraged to play from a very young age with the intention of making it to the school teams. The senior and junior teams have been performing amazingly under a highly professional coach.

Taekwondo

It was initially started as part of the extra-curricular activity and now has acquired a lot of interest both at the junior and senior levels. Students of ages 9 to 15 are learn the art of self-defence under professional trainers and display their skills at major sports events of the school.
