Empowering Student Leaders

At Habib Public School, we believe in empowering our students to become future leaders by fostering an environment that encourages active participation, critical thinking, and decision-making. Our programs are designed to nurture these qualities by providing opportunities for students to take on leadership roles, engage in community service, and work collaboratively with peers and mentors. By developing these essential skills, we prepare our students to excel both in their academic journeys and beyond. As one of Karachi’s best schools, we are committed to shaping well-rounded individuals who embody the values of integrity, responsibility, and service.

HPS Student Council

The Habib Public School student council is the representative of the student body of Habib Public School. This year the school announced its 56th Student Council on 1st February 2021. The Council is responsible for the administration of student services, campus-wide events, and student advocacy at the school. The school shared the role of responsibility with 39 students of the senior AKU and Cambridge section: a School Captain, 2 Deputy School Captains, 4 House Captains, Deputy House Captains and House Prefects were appointed. After the oath, the school Principal also addressed the students and discussed the importance of their role as student leader in school.

School is not and should not be a place to just memorize books and repeat them in exams. Rather a place where you grow mentally, physically and, of course, academically in and out of the classroom. And after ten years of studying at Habib Public School, I can say with certainty that this school sets the standard in everything from academics to extracurricular to athletics.

I am extremely proud to serve as school captain for the 2022-23 school year. I will always be grateful to the principal and the management for entrusting me with the enormous responsibility of serving this wonderful institution, which has given us so much that we could never payoff for. As a school captain, I learned two very valuable lessons about teamwork. The first is that the saying “a chain is as strong as its weakest link” applies to every team, because as student council leader, I have observed that in order for the team to rise, every member in the team must stand up and show their maximum ability and potential. The second lesson is that a leader should always direct rather than command his or her team. A leader should always be the torchbearer for whatever he wants his team to do.

My message to my fellow Habibians is never underestimate yourself. We all have imperfections, but instead of despair, the wise decision is to fix them and to change ourselves for the better. I’m not sure what the future holds for all of us, but I hope we all succeed in whatever we pursue.

Habib Public School has given me knowledge, leadership, confidence and decision-making skills, so that I am now ready to face the challenges of my life.

I hope this institution will shine forever as it always has been.

HPS Sports council

The Sports Council helps with organizing and executing regular training, sporting events and team management. The sports council members assist coaches in keeping teams motivated and organized.
The sports council members are chosen from within the sports team. Those students which excel in all areas of schooling, including but not limited to sports, education, discipline, punctuality and leadership are selected to be part of the sports council.

It is a great privilege to be given the esteemed title of the sports captain of Habib Public High School for the academic year 2020-21. I’m very thankful to the respected Principal and senior leadership team, who gave me this opportunity which enabled me to serve my college with utmost dedication.

All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy. Habib Public High School strongly believes that academic success and sports education strongly complement each other, resembling two sides of the same coin. The quality of sports facilities that we have received at Habib Public High School is incomparable. The trained coaches here at Habib go above and beyond to assist every student in performing to the best of their abilities on the sports ground. However, due to the pandemic students didn’t get many opportunities but remained high-spirited throughout. Therefore, I express my gratitude to everyone who showed their endless cooperation under my leadership role which kept me motivated.

Success is when you are mentally and physically fit to tackle situations and come up with backup in every aspect of your life and serve. I can confidently state this now that Habib has made me successful already.

A captain and his team have to be vigilant and stick to the work given and come up with new ideas and backups in order to achieve success. As a sports captain, I looked out for students who did not indulge in sports and my aim was to motivate them and bring them on the grounds. Encouraging students at sports was my priority and I believe that I managed to achieve that by the grace of God.

Habib Public High School has equipped me with the power of knowledge, leadership, confidence, and decision-making skills due to which now I’m ready to confront the challenges of my life. So, I encourage all Habibians to avail of as many school facilities as they can and not to be hesitant when opportunity knocks.

Student Clubs at HPS

Life at Habib Public School is not only about academics! We know that our students’ minds need regular breaks from their rigorous studies to keep their minds well rested and to keep their energies and spirits lifted. Many studies have been done into the science of learning, and one thing that keeps resurfacing is the importance of rest! The brain needs regular mental breaks to allow it to develop new neural connections and to solidify its learning.
Therefore, at HPS, we have dedicated The Office of the School Enrichment Programme to provide a variety of extracurricular opportunities to our scholars. Membership in these activities is open to all; our scholars need to simply choose the clubs and activities that most interest them to begin!
