After school I attended DJ Science College and AdamJee Science College. In 1981, i was selected for Engineering in Pakistan Air Force and reported at PAF College Sargodha as a cadet. I then graduated from College of Aeronautical Engineering (CAE), PAF Academy Risalpur and got a commission in the Engineering Branch of Pakistan Air Force. In 2000, I did Masters (Avionics) from CAE, NUST and was awarded the President\u2019s Gold Medal for securing 1st position. In 2007, I did PhD from Royal Military College of Science, DCMT Defence Academy of the UK. I served PAF for 38 years, during this time I worked at various Radar systems, commanded R&#038;D organizations and served as Associate Professor and Head of Department at CAE. I have also served as Director Engineering and Assistant Chief of the Air Staff (Technology) at Air Headquarters. During my PAF service, I was awarded with Chief of the Air Staff Commendation certificates twice and the Sitara-e-Imtiaz (military) by the President of Pakistan.When I joined PAF, I found the training was very tough.
