Teachers use ongoing assessment observations, checklists, student work, quizzes, conferences, and digital tools to provide timely feedback and adjust instruction. Till the Primary level, a tailored Students Assistance Program (SAP) provides need-based support before entering the Secondary level.<\/p>\n<p>Support extends beyond academic proficiency to include critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, time management, and the quality of student work. Once the problem spots have been identified, our staff will prepare an individualised learning plan to help the student catch up, while also working to improve their self image and academic confidence.<\/p>\n\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:left;\">At HGS, we understand the diverse needs of our vast student body, and thus in the early years of schooling, we have made sure that the student-teacher ratio is 15:1. School counsellors play a crucial role in teaching students important academic achievement strategies as well as providing valuable career counselling. They also teach students important skills to promote their mental and emotional wellbeing. The school counselor\u2019s main duty is to provide students with short term support and to make appropriate external referrals in case they perceive long term support is needed.
