Our Approach

The primary section at HGS is committed to providing all of our young students an exceptional education. Our unique approach towards education aims to raise students’ self image to give them the confidence to succeed.
Our structured teaching and learning programs help students to develop the skills they will need to meet their personal goals. HGS primary school students are always encouraged to follow their interests and explore ideas that spark their intellectual curiosity. Our teachers and staff have also been trained to recognise each student’s unique needs and, in light of this knowledge, do their best to support students in their academic journey.

The primary section at HGS has several excellent amenities for students to enjoy. At HGS, we place a strong emphasis on preparing students for the world of tomorrow, and our facilities and teaching methods reflect this. With digital literacy being such a key component of a modern education, we are proud to offer a state-of-the-art ICT-enriched curriculum to our students. Beyond this, students benefit from an assortment of hands-on activities to promote active learning through play. Art and music classes are also a key component of this multisensory approach to learning—so much so that students at the primary level even have their own band! At HGS, we strongly believe in the power of sports and extracurriculars in developing a child’s personality beyond the classroom. Not only do such activities give children’s young brains a break from their studies, but they also help them to develop key social and emotional life skills that are crucial to their development.

The HGS primary curriculum is aligned with the national curriculum and aims to promote a love of leaning in all of our young scholars. At the HGS primary section, we follow a strict no grade policy. Students’ progress is measured and supported via continuous assessments throughout each unit.

Welcome to the Primary Section of Habib Girls’ School, Karachi

At Habib Girls’ School, we believe that the foundation of lifelong learning begins in the Primary Section. Our mission is to empower every student with confidence, curiosity, and independence, nurturing the belief that “I am an independent learner and I have the confidence to succeed.”

In today’s ever-changing world, we remain deeply committed to providing an outstanding and holistic education, ensuring that every child receives the attention, care, and support she needs to flourish both academically and personally. Our structured teaching programs, combined with interactive learning experiences, help students build strong communication, problem-solving, and ICT skills from an early age.

As Head of the Primary Section, my goal is to guide our young learners toward excellence while fostering values of resilience, creativity, and integrity. Hello and welcome to the Primary Section – Habib Girls’ School Our aim is to empower our students with the belief “I am an independent learner and I have the confidence to succeed”. To this end we remain committed to providing an outstanding education to all our students, regardless of the setting, in these challenging times. We understand that nothing can replace being in school and being taught and cared for in person. However, we are pleased to see that through our Structured Online Teaching and Learning Program, our children have embraced the opportunity to develop their ICT skills and have become more resilient and independent. My goal as Head of the Primary section is to help all my students develop the skills and attributes they each need to meet their own future targets and aspirations. This past year has been unprecedented in terms of challenges. It has also been a year of learning and change. Our teachers have embraced the change and have worked around the clock to ensure that the education delivered is of the highest quality, laying the foundations for a lifelong journey of discovery and exploration. I feel fortunate to be part of such a great team and would like to appreciate the teachers for their unfaltering support and work ethic.
